Crime

Picture of crime scene

We as a Party have become increasingly alarmed at the increase in crime, especially that focussed onto the elderly.

Although we do not believe in Draconian measures we are of the opinion that punishment now no longer is tailored to suit the crime. There appears to be a total disregard of punishment and almost laughingly carries no effective weight and seen as a minor hindrance. Of course there are varying degrees of crime and although some individuals can be rehabilitated there is a large amount who see crime as a career move.

We are fairly convinced that if savings can be made elsewhere then additional prisons are required for the more violent criminals who then could be incarcerated for longer periods. These could be possibly council controlled but still headed by the Home Office. Overseas defaulters, irrespective whether they have been nationalised should be deported/exiled to a third world country that could do with some additional labour. The overseas country could receive handouts as that being handed out to Africa in return for monitored incarceration in their land.

Parents of anti-social children should be fined or have their benefits reviewed and the children interred in the family home under curfew. Repeat offenders should be automatically sent to a juvenile detention centre and then onto conscription into the Army. There may be justification in finding harsher punishments for those involved in drugs, child abuse, and violence. Sentencing should be slowly racked up until a desired result is met.
