Europe

Europe is a reality and it would be neither advisable nor useful to ignore it. And yet a lot of pensioners in the EU states get a better deal than our own senior citizens. The Pensioners Party sees Europe and the EU as an opportunity to ensure that England's Pensioners have a fairer, more wealthy and dignified role in the UK population. Additionally, this party's stance on and in Europe will be to limit legislation and Europe's influence on our way of life, a way of life that pensioners find comfortable and familiar.

As highlighted in the précis of the Euro link above we presume the World will centralise into large areas of importance and influence, such as Europe, America, S. America, Asia, China and Russia. No doubt due to human behaviour based on inefficiencies, greed and power it will ultimately decentralise, if not disintegrate, and for this reason it would be advantageous if we can retain as much of our sovereignty as possible. For this specific reason of prospective frailness, whilst playing the European way, we must ensure that we retain as much independence as possible. Additionally, we must retain our own armed forces and not become a fixed limb of an European or American defence network. We must ensure that we cater for all eventualities, and if these amalgamations become unwieldy be prepared to go it alone.

Everybody is concerned about illegal entry into this Country, whether it is in the form of an undesirable alien or those involved in criminal activity.

Historically, the seas around our land have been our saving grace on more than one occasion. They form a natural boundary and we take the view that our borders should be retained and we should not allow free access in the same way that other European members accept. It goes without saying that we must be vigilant and take every opportunity of new technology to resist any unwanted intrusion onto our shores.
