There are many problems in our Society and indeed the World, you are probably tired of switching on 24 hour coverage of the news on TV to see for yourself. We have, however, got to get to grips with as much as we can before we all slip into anarchy and only the strong survive. We take the view that a major problem is composed of a series of minor problems, work on each one and eventually the major one will be diluted.
We live in a commercial world where the rate of change compared to previous generations is accelerating to an unmanageable level. With consumer goods comes short term gratification for those that can afford to buy and descension for those who cannot.
What greatly affects people is witnessing in the media of those individuals who are rewarded far more greater than can be justified. Overpaid sports people, business people, politicians, film and singing celebrities, individuals who are totally talentless and rely on looks to earn vast sums, etc. The media and celebrities support each other to justify their own high income. Unfortunately this is witnessed and paid for by those who can ill afford to subsidise someone else's existence.
We have to equalise the benefits provided by the modern age. Crime, especially drug driven, is one resource in which some people resort to pay for these intermittent luxuries. We must reduce this descension to an acceptable level, and one of these methods is by taxation of those who can afford to pay more and enforced price controls of commercial enterprises that charge high margins for volume goods. For example, we could ensure that the price of a football match ticket is roughly that of a cinema entrance fee. No one should be paid an obscene amount for playing football whilst poorly paid people are expected to pay large entrance fees. One minor negative effect of high entrance fees could possibly be crime and inflation which must be controlled. A good by product of neutralising high paid salaries would be to drive overpaid footballers back overseas and open up opportunities for local talent, a cause which might eliminate further descension.
